About

Welcome to Cincinnati Playground Review!

This page was started with one goal in mind – to give accurate information on playgrounds in the Southwest Ohio area.

How many times have you gone to a playground only to be disappointed that they did not have a section for toddlers? Or that it was right next to a lake and you’ve got a baby escape artist who is drawn to water?

On the flipside – aren’t you bored of going to the same playground and watching your kid go down the exact same slide for the 200th time this week?

About Me

I’m Amanda, Registered Nurse turned Stay at Home Mom.

I have two wild and crazy children who occupy the vast majority of my time. But I found myself wanting a “creative outlet” (that’s what all those trendy self-care blog posts call it anyway..) and from that need – this page was born.

Too many times had I arrived at a playground to realize that it wasn’t necessarily a bad play ground, it just wasn’t a good fit for my family. Maybe the Play Structure was too big for a two year old. Maybe the bathrooms were porta-potties which is a bad combination with potty-training.

Some of My Favorite Parks

Check the links below for information on some of my favorite playgrounds in the area!

Rentschler Forest

With the newly added fencing to block off the river from the play structure – this playground remains one of my favorites. The play structure is just the right size to keep track of the kids easily, while still offering them plenty of entertainment.  The park feels like a park rather than a playground stuck in a suburban oasis. Plenty of hiking trails and nature to explore.

Beckett Park

This is another park with great visibility, a fun play structure, plenty of swings AND a great picnic area near the playground. Pack a lunch and spend the morning at play.

Blue Ash Nature Park

Several playgrounds in close proximity to one another to offer a “one stop shop” for kids of all ages. Paved walking path for easy stroller maneuverability. Shade and LOTS OF IT!
