Monroe Crossings Park

Monroe Crossings Park

Community Park Alert

This is Monroe Crossings Park. It is located near Route 63 and Route 4 in close proximity to the old Americana grounds. It is a community park – small but effective. It’s within 5 to 10 minutes of Liberty Township, Fairfield Township, Lower parts of Middletown and Monroe.

Play Structure

Two smallish play structures. One is a boundless fully accessible structure with a wheelchair ramp and various activities such as a steering wheel and drums. The other is a typical structure with several slides, rock walls, a bridge and a tunnel.

Accessibility

One small accessible structure, one accessible swing.

Swing

One set of swings between the two structures. Baby swing, two traditional swings, one accessible swing.

Safety

This is right next to the parking lot. This will be an issue if this park is busy (on a weekend during soccer season..) and your child doesn’t understand boundaries yet. Mulch ground.

Potty Training

Flush toilets next to playground. No changing table.

Picnic

A few metal picnic tables. One covered structure. Concessions are sold during soccer games.

Shade

Not much shade at all. Fairly exposed structure.

Visibility

Great visibility since the structure is so small and there is not much foliage around.

Walking

Walking trail circles the playground and the soccer fields, relatively flat, not much shade.

This park is good for a quick stop for some play and a walk if you’re in the area! My guess is the playground portion was an after thought to entertain younger siblings while the older ones play soccer.
